Job Title: Senior System Network Analyst

Salary: $53,768 – $74,464 / annually
Description:  
       

Summary of Essential Duties:

Administers complex computer, system, and network facilities including establishment of proper access control functions; support, including design, of Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SCCM, and CommVault backup systems; provide technical support and /or consultation to tier 1 technical staff; researches complex products and services, prepares procurement specifications, and evaluates vendor proposals; plans, develops, and documents complex computer systems and operational procedures.

 

Education:

Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science or a related field.

 

Experience:

Four years of increasingly responsible system network analyst experience.

 

Substitution:

An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

 

Notes:

This position requires a criminal background investigation and fingerprinting to be accomplished prior to being offered the position.

 

For these classifications, per current bargaining unit contract, all hours in excess of forty (40) hours in any workweek shall be compensated at the rate of one (1) hour compensatory time off for one (1) hour of overtime worked.

 

Knowledge of:

Structure and capabilities of computer operating systems, network protocols, data access control, and database management systems; data communications and distributed computing concepts; techniques for facilitating group processes including meetings and electronic collaboration; customer service practices; principles of project management.

 

Ability to:

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, managers, vendors, and suppliers; quickly understand complex technical matters and apply technical knowledge in the development of general solutions; convey technical information simply and clearly, both in speech and in writing; participate harmoniously on teams formed to accomplish projects and provide ongoing support; diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
